The Lookout is ideally situated in a quiet corner of Porthcressa, St Mary’s - the largest island on Scilly. We are only yards from the beach and a short level walk to all amenities and is the perfect base for visitors wishing to take the tripper boats to any of the off-islands, or for those just wishing to unwind a little closer to home.

We offer comfortable accommodation of a twin room en suite and a double room with private bathroom facilities. All the guest rooms have wonderful sea views.

We are pleased to offer guests a traditional full English breakfast using carefully chosen locally sourced ingredients whenever possible and special diets are happily catered for.

Our guest accommodation offers pleasant and comfortable facilities, including a lounge where guests are welcome to sit and relax at any time of the day.

With beautiful sandy white beaches and crystal clear sea, unrivalled views and unique flora and fauna - Scilly is ideal for exploring on foot or by sea. If you wish to, just simply unwind and relax in its timeless tranquillity.

The Isles of Scilly has five inhabited islands - six, if you include Gugh when the tide is in.

There are very few roads, even on St Mary’s and for those a little more energetic, the island offers fabulous walks, on the coast or in-land. Thanks to the Gulf Stream, exotic plants grow everywhere, and there are many prehistoric antiquities to be found.  

With sailing, diving, cycling, horse trekking and a nine hole golf course on offer, plus excellent independent shops in Hugh Town, restaurants, cafes and public houses, St Mary’s is ideal for all visitors to Scilly.
